Abstract

Indonesia is known as a country that has abundant and diverse natural resources. The aim of this research is to determine the form and implementation of criminal law policies in Law Number 41 of 2014 concerning Animal Husbandry and Animal Health. Conclusions from this research: The forms of criminal provisions in this law are the prohibition on slaughtering productive female small ruminants, distributing tools and machines without prioritizing safety and security for the user and/or not having been tested, removing and/or bringing in animals, animal products or media. carriers of other animal diseases to and from the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia or areas free from infected or suspected infected areas, using certain animal medicines on livestock whose products are for human consumption, making, providing and/or distributing illegal medicines. Second, implementation of legal policies The penalties contained in the Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Law are currently not yet strictly regulated, the criminal regulations are still very minimal, for example, imprisonment between one month and three months and fines in the range of ten million rupiah. According to the author, this crime is very light compared to the effects it has on society. Criminal acts in the field of animal husbandry will not only affect one person to another, but criminal acts in animal husbandry and especially animal health will relate to the wider community.
