New Article Template and English Language Policy Effective from Volume 5, Issue 1

Dear Authors,

To continuously improve the quality, consistency, and international visibility of Jurnal Legalitas, the Editorial Team is pleased to announce that several important publication policies will take effect starting from Volume 5, Issue 1.

1. New Article Template

Starting from Volume 5, Issue 1, all newly submitted manuscripts must use the latest official journal template.

Authors are required to strictly follow the formatting and manuscript structure provided in the new template, including:

  • Title and author information;
  • Affiliation and corresponding author details;
  • Abstract and keywords;
  • Main manuscript structure;
  • Tables and figures;
  • In-text citations and references;
  • Page layout and typography; and
  • Other formatting requirements specified in the template.

Manuscripts submitted using an outdated template may be returned to the authors for formatting correction before proceeding to the editorial process.

2. English Language Requirement

Starting from Volume 5, Issue 1, all manuscripts submitted for publication must be written in English.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts use clear, accurate, and appropriate academic English. Manuscripts with substantial language problems may be returned to the authors for language improvement before or during the editorial process.

3. Scope of Application

This policy applies to new manuscripts submitted from Volume 5, Issue 1 onward.

Manuscripts that were submitted before the implementation of this policy and are already undergoing the editorial or peer-review process will continue to be processed according to the applicable editorial policy at the time of submission.

4. Purpose of the Policy

The implementation of the new template and English-language policy is part of the journal's commitment to:

  • improve the quality and consistency of published articles;
  • strengthen editorial and publication standards;
  • increase the international visibility and accessibility of published research;
  • expand readership among international researchers and academics;
  • enhance the potential for international citations; and
  • support the journal's continuous development toward broader international recognition and indexing.
Important Reminder

Before submitting a manuscript, authors are strongly encouraged to carefully read the Author Guidelines and download and use the latest article template provided by the journal.
