Peer Review Process
Jurnal Legalitas (JLE) applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published articles.
1. Initial Screening
Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the editor to assess their conformity with the journal's scope, author guidelines, originality, and basic academic requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected at this stage.
2. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
3. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor may decide to accept, request revisions, or reject the manuscript. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts before a final decision is made.
4. Final Decision and Publication
Manuscripts that satisfy the editorial and peer-review requirements are accepted for publication and scheduled according to the journal's publication cycle.
The review process evaluates the manuscript's originality, relevance, methodological rigor, quality of legal analysis, clarity, and contribution to legal scholarship. The final decision rests with the editor.
