Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Legalitas (JLE) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other forms of inappropriate use of previously published work.
All submitted manuscripts must undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin before entering the peer-review process.
The journal applies a maximum similarity tolerance of 20%. Manuscripts with a similarity score above 20% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected before peer review, depending on the nature and extent of the similarity.
A similarity score below 20% does not automatically establish that a manuscript is free from plagiarism. The editor may examine the Turnitin report to determine whether the identified similarities constitute legitimate quotations, references, commonly used legal terminology, or potential plagiarism.
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct.
Where plagiarism or other publication misconduct is identified after publication, Jurnal Legalitas may take appropriate action, including correction, retraction, or removal of the article, in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
